Zach is welding the new part in place. Zach first applies a few tack welds, confirms the fit, then skip welds the part moving from side to side to help prevent warping and distortion due to heat.
All the spot welds are now in place. After spot welding, Zach does some skip seam welding to really join the two parts. The repair is much stronger than stock.
Our new lower crossmember is all welded up and ready to for paint!
Now to the back of the car. Zack is scraping away seam sealer and bondo to find the seams of the rusted panels.

That is super cool that good quality repair parts can still be found for that chassis. Rust and bondo are the absolute worst thing to find when trying to modify any car.
Zach is the best!! I wish I lived closer cause I’d love for him to do my roll cage!
