The screws went in easily. |
The Stillen part has access holes so you can easily reach the bolts that hold the air dam to the bumper. |
Our installation is complete. The Stillen skid plate protects and really strengthens this area. Look at the car’s belly pan and flat bottom. This makes for good aero. Check out the diffusers leading into the front wheelwell low pressure area. This car is trick stock. The flat bottom helps the functional rear diffuser do some work! |
The skid plate is very unobtrusive and looks and fits like a factory part. Look at this close up, no gaps or waves. You can also see how it protects the leading edge of the air dam. It can probably take a light parking block hit with no damage to the airdam. |
Looks so OEM you can’t even tell it’s there. Every new GT-R should get one of these! |
Thanks to Connell Nissan for giving us a great deal and getting us the color and trim level we wanted. The GT-R is a rare very low production number car and most dealers are only allocated a few cars per year. Connell has a good stock which is actually big enough so you can choose your car. |
It’s a humble and simple start to what is going to be a pretty intensive project. Stay tuned, we will be working on getting exotic smashing performance out of Nissan’s super car in future installemnts of Project GT-R!
