Project S2000 AP1: Installing the DeatschWerks DW200 Fuel Pump

,

First, we removed the hardtop to gain access to the fuel pump. Since we completely removed the soft top and all back plastics while installing the hardtop a while back, it was much easier to access the fuel pump with them gone.
Howard then removes the 3 screws holding down the plate covering the pump.
After removing the cover, Howard disconnects the plug going to the top of the fuel pump housing. While we were at it, we decided to blow away any dust with compressed air. That way there is less risk of anything falling into the gas tank.
Next, we removed the lines connected at the top plate and then proceeded to take off the bolts that hold the top plate and fuel pump housing in place.
The fuel pump assembly is out and ready to have the pumps swapped.

  1. Hello,
please how it behaved on a standard engine, were there any problems after some time? I may have trouble with the original fuel pump and am considering replacing the DW200, but it will be on the serial engine, supercharging do not consider. I’m not sure if the flow rate at the original specification is good. Thanks
