Project Scion FR-S- Testing Greddy’s Cold Air Intake!

,

The MAF wiring is a little stretched out and comes near one of the front pulleys.  We rewrapped the MAF harness so we could get a little more slack and zip tied it safely out of the way.  You might want to be careful here.

Our install is neat and tidy.  The GReddy intake looks pretty factory!

Back on the Superflow dyno to see what she will do.  Technosquare's Superflow dyno is very stingy.  For instance, it typically reads about 10 hp lower than a Dynojet.

We were pretty impressed with the GReddy Intake. It reduced the FR-S's notorious 2,500 rpm torque dip and provided solid gains from 3,200 rpm all the way up to redline. Peak gains were almost 9 hp near the fuel cut and 6 lb/ft of torque, not bad for an intake!

Here are our GReddy Dyno results, stock, Evo 3 exhaust and finally with air intake.

So far we have been pretty pleased with how our FR-S responds to minor tuning.  Stay tuned, we have a lot more planned for our car in the future.  We still have to catch up with our cars' SEMA build!
