Project SR E30: Part 2 – Making Custom Motor MountsPosted on December 14, 2017July 25, 2018byNikita RushmanovWe start by slicing both brackets in half. Our plan is to make one bracket fit inside the other. This way we can reposition the engine until we get it perfect, and then just tack weld them together. Here it is mocked up. The E30 motor mount bracket seems to be sitting too low relative to the SR one.Not to worry! We can simply pie cut the E30 bracket to make it point 15 degrees higher. Here it is all welded up.Before tack welding, it’s very important to double check the engine position one more time. Hydraulic jacks sag over time.RelatedPrevious page 1 2 3 4 5Next pageRelated TopicsFabricationFabrication and Safety Previous Article FeaturesThe Spoon Center Drive Civic: 2017 ChangesPosted on December 13, 2017August 21, 2018byMike KojimaView Post Next Article UncategorizedFeaturesFormula Drift Announces 2-Year Title Sponsorship with Link Engine Management for the PRO2 ChampionshipPosted on December 15, 2017July 13, 2018byMotoIQ StaffView Post Leave a Reply Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
