Project Toyota Tundra- Installing the TRD Supercharger Part 1
The intercooler is a water to air type and comes with an OEM grade electrical pump, a surge tank and brackets.  All super quality and allow mounting everything with no drilling or fuss.

The rest of the kit is very complete and of very high OEM like quality.  The intercooler lies within the blower case and is fed cool coolant from a centrifugal pump with the exit liquid being routed to a huge dual pass aluminum heat exchanger mounted before the A/C evaporator.  There is a surge tank in line with the system for expansion.  All hoses, brackets and wiring are well thought out and need no fabrication to mount.

This huge fabricated aluminum heat exchanger is for the intercooler coolant.  It mounts in front of the AC evaporator with no drilling or screwing around.  It is a double pass design for better efficiency.  The engine’s fan always draws quite a bit of air through it and it never seems to get hot at all even with some power pulls.  The intercooler does not seem to heat soak and suffer from power fall off unlike air to air units.

The blower castings are high quality and OEM like.  Included are new water crossover castings, hoses, hard lines, a longer belt and a special idler, all OEM or better quality. None of the installation interferes with any of the truck’s power accessories or emissions equipment.

These OEM like lines route water to the engine oil cooler that get moved when the blower is installed.  This kit is really well thought out!

Everything is totally easy to put in and plug and play.  It takes some degree of skill to install the kit but it is much easier than installing a turbo kit for instance.  No hacking, cussing or fabricating required!

The kit comes with its own cold air intake with a high volume air box top, a dirty filter indicator, a high flow filter element, a larger cold air duct, a larger charge pipe and MAF sampling  tube and all the necessary clamps for a clean install.
