Redline Track Events Round 4 at Willow Springs, CA 7/4/11

,

The Street AWD was a stacked class made up of three Subaru STIs making a collective 1600+HP to the wheels.  Istvan Klag in the Night Motorsports STI was able to finally topple the mighty Apollo Perfomrance STI and take home top honors.

The Apollo Performance Subaru STI was having issues with the wiring to the dual fuel pumps that feed a thirsty franken-combo EJ20/25 motor.  Despite the electrical issues the Apollo team was able to pull off a decent lap and finish 2nd.

Chevy Corvette Tanaka Racing
The Tanaka Racing Corvette is back in action after a Round 3 hiatus at Autoclub Speedway.  Jacob Tanaka was able to fend off his competitors in Modified RWD for 1st place in the former FormulaD chassis.

Bryan Friday put on another strong performance in the Project Import Honda S2000.  Despite the weekend heat the boosted S2000 made it through the weekend.

Craig Utter took first place in the uncontested Modified FWD class in his Honda Civic.  We’re really digging his exhaust.  Craig bucks the crowd and goes his own way with a “turn up” instead of the usual turn down tip.

This concludes Redline Track Events Round 4.  See ya’ll at Round 5 in a couple weeks at Buttonwillow. Happy Ending!
