Sneak Peek: BAC Mono at Sector 111

,

As we were at Sector 111, there were many Lotus(s) (Loti?) along with a few Ariel Atoms. This Atom was sporting the optional aero bodywork rolling on Hoosiers.
This Atom was prepped for track duty.
Sticky Hoosiers are mounted of course. Braking duties are handled by a Wilwood setup.
Sabelt harnesses and Kirkey seats keep the occupants well secured.
A newer K24 engine is mounted in this Atom. Unfortunately, pretty much all of the modern Honda engines have the exhaust manifold integrated into the head of the engine.
An oil cooler was installed to keep the temperatures in check during hard track use.

Sector 111 definitely gets to play with some goodies. Maybe one day, I’ll actually get to drive the Mono. Or I’ll take that Ariel Atom. But for now, I’ll hop back into Project S2000. Project S2k may not be as fast, but I don’t have to wear a helmet all the time and it has A/C! Who am I kidding though; I’d drive the Mono to work every day if I had one.
