All of that odd suspension works! Lots of weight transfer creates lots of traction. You can see here how Christian Bruno is lifting the left front under throttle. These cars have so much traction they can actually wheelie on dirt! It’s pretty amazing to watch.So how’s the racing? Really good! When was the last time you saw a 4-way, 2-wide battle in NASCAR? These four cars battled for multiple laps in their qualifier race.The qualifying racing was messy: again there was a huge field fighting for 24 spots in the championship race. Bumping, banging, and crashing were pretty common in the qualifying races. Sometimes drivers would push a little too hard and clip the inside tires.Do this right after a restart and you end up taking out half the field while going on one wild ride. Despite the dramatic flipping, there were no driver injuries during the weekend.One of the great things about a flat dirt track is that multiple racing grooves are available for drivers. Depending on the quality of the track, two to three viable lanes were open allowing for lots of side by side racing.
