Super Lap Battle Finals – FXMD NSX & Tyler McQuarrie Break Overall Time Attack Record

UMS Tuning was going for a double header with SLB on Wed and Global Time Attack on the weekend.  UMS Tuning was running strong the entire week and took home top honors in Unlimited AWD with a 1:55.771.

 

Tarzan Yamada was driving the Crawford Performance STI but mechanical issues took the car out of competition before it could run a full hot lap.  They were able to limp the car around the track and at least put down an official recorded time to take 2nd place.  Tarzan was piloting the Crawford car in Unlimited AWD as well as the Platte Forme A.G. M3 in Limited FR.

 

The Andy Hope Fan Club CRX with Andy Hope driving.  Andy Hope has built a very versatile car that also races in the MotoIQ MPTCC and Honda Challenge.  Hope finished the day 2nd in Unlimited FF.

 

Pro BMX Rider Franciso “Coco” Zurita in the Vivid Racing EVO X tries his hand at time attack.  It seems like after Ken Block did all of his Gymkhana videos we’ve been getting a steady influx of extreme sports athletes in time attack.

 

It was an epic battle of the BMW’s on all fronts between the Platte Forme A.G. BMW M3 driven by Tarzan Yamada and the Berk BMW 135i driven by Carl Rydquist.  The two teams traded positions all day long and it came down to the wire for both teams.  Platte Forme A.G. finished the day 2nd in Limited FR with a time of 1:53.457.

 



Dave Norton of Spec Clutch drives his ultra clean SR20 powered S14 in the Limited FR class.  Norton finished 3rd in class with a time of 1:58.487.  The S14 looks like it is making a ton of power judging by their top speed on the front straight.
