Team principle Ken Namimatsu said, “I am really proud of the team, we had to overcome countless hurdles to even get to this race.  More than any other track we run, Buttonwillow seems to punish us on a consistent basis.  This race was no different.  In the end we are happy that we smashed the previous record that has been held by HKS for the past three years but, we are absolutely not satisfied!  Many more advancements on the horizon and I am looking forward to 2011.”fxmd nsx

We would like to thank all of our sponsors for their superior track proven products and unwavering support throughout the season and we hope to continue to build on our relationships into 2011.   FXMD would like to give special thanks to Sam Kwa from Yokohama Tire for the track side support as well as Chris Marion over at KW Automotive for providing us with the proper parts for this event.evasive evo

Dai Yoshihara returned with his GT Channel /GTI/ MotoIQ Nissan 350Z for a win in RWD Street class.  Fitted with Falken 615K street tires, Dai knocked 4 seconds off his previous times with a 2:01.937 as his car has undergone extensive suspension and brake development by GTI Motorsports, Mike Kojima and KW’s Chris Marion in the off season.

Crew Chief Costa Gilamas told us that Dai’s car is way down on power compared to the competition at only 280 hp which is pretty low for a 3100 lb car.  The power issues will soon be solved with a Jim Wolf Technology turbo system and more refinements will continue to be developed with the car’s aerodynamics and suspension making the car much more competitive for next year.  Look for record breaking speeds from Dai hopefully around this time next year!
