World Endurance Championship: Circuit of the Americas 2013
The WEC event at the Circuit of the Americas was all about firsts this year, and probably the most dramatic was the 3 inches of rain that fell between Thursday and Friday. This made for some rooster tails through practice, and soaking fans roaming the paddock and vendor areas. If you were lucky, you had quick access to shelter in the grandstands on the front straight, under the walking bridge, or in the SRT lounge with the “Rush” trailer blaring on several TV monitors. After an hour of downpours, I can recite the Rush trailer by heart. I am still looking forward to it.
