A SEMA Newb’s Perspective

,

Hoonigan raffled off their modified Focus RS, the first one in the country. Since Subaru no longer produces a 5-door version of the WRX and STi, I can see this being a popular option for wagon lovers like myself.
Front and center was their crowning jewel, the new Ford GT racecar. This car is absolutely gorgeous from every angle!
I had to stop and check out these new Brembo calipers. These massive eight piston brakes were designed with strength and lightness in mind for the truck and large sedan market, but with flair for an interesting aesthetic.
Turbo by Garrett had one of my favorite displays, with Mad Mike Whiddett’s NC Miata drift car drawing the largest crowds. I really enjoyed seeing this car over many of the others because this car isn’t just a shiny showpiece, it's something that goes out and gets used. It even had cracked and chipped panels.
Under the hood lives a pair of GT40 series turbos strapped to a quad rotor engine pushing out over 1,000 horsepower.  Not bad!
Snuggled up behind the Miata was a Datsun after my own heart. This old Roadster does more than just look great, it has an SR20VET under the hood with a GTX2876R which should make it go much faster than is reasonable.
