Daily Driven, HKS Supercharged Scion FR-S Autocross and Track Car

,

Creating a unique car that would serve as a daily driver yet also convey not only the look of performance but also have the ability to act it out is not an easy task. The work that has gone into this FR-S is testament to that.

Simon's red Scion FR-S and this wrapped white Subaru BRZ, belonging to his track partner, Natalie, are both great visuals to the culture of expressing yourself via your automobile, yet maintaining true driver's cars. Natalie's BRZ boasts wide body features, yet is further personalized with artwork designed by her tatoo artist and, via a wrap, allows her self-expression. Before you write this off as a BRZ created for looks, Natalie has demonstrated solid results in both autocross and track settings.

First off, notice how nicely the wheels and tires fill out the wide body kit. The front and rear fenders are from Rocket Bunny and installed by Simon. The headlights are a custom HID setup from Spec-D Tuning.

The Front nose is from C-West. As you can see in the top photo of this page, it has a large mouth to accommodate air flow for the multiple coolers that this Scion requires. The combination of parts provided the unique look that he was striving for.

The side skirts are made by C-West and they flow quite nicely with the Rocket Bunny wide body fenders. An ARP carbon side splitter extension is affixed to the C-West side skirt for a bit more stance. Simon points out that melding the parts from multiple vendors took a significant amount of time.

The cut away component is nicely formed and provides an escape route for air that otherwise would be trapped in the wheel well. Plus, it looks cool. The carbon fibre fender fin in front of the mirror is a TRD piece.
