Daily Driven, HKS Supercharged Scion FR-S Autocross and Track Car

,

You will find that 86 pops up in a variety of places on this Scion, even more appropriate now that Toyota has pulled the Scion brand back into the fold and the Scion FR-S going forward is now the Toyota 86. While I'm not sure that I'd have 86 on my taillights, I cannot find fault. After all, my Nissan has Nismo decals applied in a few places for my personal satisfaction. What I can really appreciate is that these taillights are a custom setup made by a Japanese company that only made this one set. That is unique!

The hood is from Japan, an FRP Varis, and it is clamped in place with Top Secret hood clamp system.

The diffuser was for an RX-7 and fitment for the FR-S was custom. The trunk mounted rear wing is from Origin Lab and the strut mounts were added to provide additional support.

When first sighted, this author must admit to some confusion caused by the 69 decal boldly placed on the door of this Scion FR-S. When Simon was questioned about it, he pointed out it this decal pays homage to the orginal Rocket Bunny Tra Kyoto 6666. However, since he was assigned #69 as his first autocross number he changed the number to 6969. As you notice how planted the car is while taking a high speed left, look to the background where you'll see a log boom floating down the Fraser River. That is simply something you will not see at every race track.
