Daily Driven, HKS Supercharged Scion FR-S Autocross and Track Car

,

The personalization of the FR-S continues on the interior with a mix of show car inspiration combined with track inspiration. The individual Racing Parts short shifter is awesome – it replaces the entire shifter mechanism. The throws are incredibly short and precise, the lever is taller, and the feel was very positive. An EcuTech piggyback setup allows for flexibility in tuning without requiring a full standalone setup. Simon does a summer performance tune and a winter driveability tune.

The stock driver's seat has been replaced with a Bride racing bucket. A harness bar allows for the use of a Sparco harness. Our recommendation is to have a minimum of a 4 point roll bar when using a harness system.

This Scion FR-S has had a lot of work done over it's short lifespan. Fortunately, Simon had the vision and then the skills required to mate all of these unique parts into one very evolved automobile.

Whether on the track or out for a photoshoot, this FR-S is absolutely worth a second look! And, do not underestimate it.

Simon's FR-S is a daily driver. In fact, during one of our chats about the car he was in the Rocky Mountains making the eleven or so hour drive from Vancouver to Calgary. The car is also a track beast and has been out on road courses and autocross tracks since purchased in 2013. This is the kind of enthusiasm that shows us that the car culture is still strong in North America. Of course, with this car the big question is, “Simon, what are you going to modify and upgrade next?!”
