After watching that Evo 10 pull several more dyno runs and make over 500 HP, Edik, Martin and Mike Kojima all arrive to finally allow the DA to show what it's really doing.

If you remember from the Sonoma Article, we sealed the engine bay with blue tape and Martin signed down the strips. Let the evidence show that the hood was never opened as all the signatures were intact and the tape never lifted.

Further evidence shows that the ECU also had its tuning port sealed and was also intact and never tampered with. This shows good faith on Edik's part and proof that he isn't trying to cheat.

Edik was still sweating bullets though, as he needed to show on the dyno that his car was legal. Remember, the car produced 220 HP on the Dynojet mobile dyno at Sonoma.

After the car pulled into the dyno room at RRE, Mike inspected the car looking for signs of any other tampering, switches, GPS, wheel speed sensors, all stuff that could be used to trigger alternative maps or anything else that could give the car more horsepower during a race.

Apparently it is possible to tell an ECU to operate on settings to produce one level of horsepower when only the drive wheels spin and to go wide open when all four wheels spin by using an ABS or wheel speed sensor. It is possible to use a GPS system to do the same thing.  RRE's Honda Robert did reveal that the Hondata S300 ECU that Edik was using isn't capable of multiple maps either. However, looking over what the S300 is capable of, it could be faked out that way, but I don't really know since I haven't used an S300 myself.
