E46 BMW M3 Turbo: Part 2 – Splitter, diffuser, 3.5-in exhaust, and dyno testing!

,

To give us an idea of how aggressive this diffuser looks, we lined it up next to our Project E46 M3 (right).  When we installed the Khoalty diffuser on ours, the difference was significant, and we’re still happy with the look.  But this BImmerWorld unit and 3.5-in exhaust combo takes the rear-end look to a whole other level.

Here’s a better angle to show you the difference with the diffuser fins.  Oh man, I love me some good diffuser action!

And now, finally, it’s time to take the car back to Modified by KC so they can strap it to its Dynojet 424x chassis dynamometer.  What kind of power will we get? Will we crack the 700 WHP mark?

Without doing anything to the tuning, we were pleased to see 703 WHP!  The car is an absolute rocket and one of the ultimate sleepers around.

And here's a quick video of the speedometer, giving us a taste of the brute acceleration.

The white car looks great.  But even after our upgrades, Chris’ M3 car still looks relatively docile, making it one of the ultimate sleepers around.  99% of the people that ever notice the car will never know there are 700 hard-bucking ponies underneath that hood.  That's well over twice that of our well-modified—and already very quick—silver Project M3!
