E46 BMW M3 Turbo: Part 3 – Clutch Master Twin Disc clutch and more MKC cars!

,

Check out this Bumblebee. There’s “more than meets the eye” to this one.

The Camaro is supercharged with a ProCharger F-1 blower. Because MKC wasn’t tuning this particular car (it was in for something else) they didn’t have any power figures for it. However, based on ProCharger’s website, this kit is probably good for somewhere in the neighborhood of 500 to 600 wheel hp.

Now how is this for a Time Attack car? I would love this car as a weekend getaway car for my local road circuit. I’d never seen one before. It’s known as a Factory Five 818. The “818” numbers are referring to the fact that this cars weighs 818 KG (1832 lb!).

It uses a Subaru WRX 2.2-liter turbocharged engine, but look at the placement! I bet that boxer engine sounds different behind ya.

It’s a mid-engine setup with the transmission in the rear. This car would thrash the slalom.

Factory Five claims that if you’ve got a 2002-2007 Subaru WRX, plus about 10-15 grand, you can build this car! That’s an incredible bargain, especially considering the prices of Lotus Elises, which put out about 200 bhp. This Factory Five 818, however, made a fun-packed 335 wheel horsepower with over 350 lb-ft of torque on MKC’s dyno. That’s 30% greater power-to-weight ratio than a Ferrari F40 and even 13% better than the current Ferrari 488 that seems to be thrashing almost everything. Now that’s bang for your buck!
