Stoneback and DenofaDenofa (qualifed 7th) and Stoneback (qualified 26th) both had a few mistakes in their first battle in the Top 32 and ended up going OMT.  Denofa came back with his quintessentially aggressive angle and better line in his lead run using up the entire track.  Stoneback makes a small steering correction on his lead run and Denofa advances.
Nishida and SaitoSaito takes this Achilles versus Achilles battle in the top 32, the second time this year both drivers have faced each other the first round in the ladder.
Bakchis and JonesBakchis took a quick lead the first lap of the Top 32 battle leaving Jones behind limping through the bank.  Jones retires in the and has to be towed off the track.

 
TOP 16 BATTLE:
 
Field and GushiOn his lead run, Gushi taps the guardrail halfway through the bank and Field spins to avoid Gushi, who finishes the run with no other issues.  On his lead run, Field spins again and Gushi gets the win.
Wang and GoodinSlippery when wet! Goodin pirouettes in the last outside zone during his lead run but Wang is able to avoid making contact. During the chase, Goodin pulls a repeat performance and Wang moves on to the top 8.
Saito'Scuse me for staring but that's a fine looking money maker you're shaking.
