Despite the move to a LS-V8 in his Toyota Cresta, Alex Lee just has not been able to find the right touch in the sedan. Alex spun on his follow run in the V8 powered Toyota against Rhys Millen in the Garrett Turbo Genesis Coupe, allowing Rhys to move on.

When a driver is on a roll, it is hard to stop him. Tony Angelo looked to try and be the brakes of Daigo Saito's momentum, however on his lead run and at a huge disadvantage from a poor follow run, Tony had to step up. However, the Scion Racing tC wasn't up to the job and it lost power steering just before the rear clipping zone. This caused Tony to crash into the barrier and completely lose a wheel. Taking a cue from sprint cars, Chelsea Denofa decided to run an inverted right side plate on his Nitto Tire Mazda RX8s wing. Probably not a bad idea considering the high speed left hand turn you start in. Chelsea's crazy speed, great angle, and proximity allowed him to surpass Ian Fournier in the Fatlace V8 Skyline Sedan.

Whatever momentum that Daigo is on, Robbie Nishida must have taken a lot off of him. He paired up against Odi Bakchis in his borrowed Drive Energy Drink Nissan 240SX. Unfortunately, just like renting a car, you don't know how well you can drive a borrowed drift car. With Robbie having more experience in the SC300, he was able to defeat Odi. However, when you look at what Odi went though this weekend, you can't really call him a loser.

Dennis Mertzanis in the Kenda Tires V8 powered S13 has had a good run considering this is a completly new chassis and new engine combination for him. Last year he was in a VQ powered S14 and despite the drastic differences, has performed very well in this new car. However, when you're going up against the many nearly synomous with the S-chassis, Ryan Tuerck in the Retaks V8 S13, having a better feel for your chassis makes all the difference and Tureck moves on to the Top 16.

Mike Essa in the GSR Autoworks BMW Z4 powered by a Garrett Turbo faced off against Pat Goodin in the Enjuku Racing V8 powered S13. Neither driver held the advantage in their first battle, so they went One More Time. Here, Goodin spun and hit the wall while following Essa. Despite a far better lead run by Goodin, it would not be enough without Essa spinning. Essa peformed without error and the Nitto Tires driver moves on.

Many have asked, “Who is Danny George?” Well, the short answer is that he is the driver of the V8 Miata with a crab on the back of it. Well, usually with a crab on the back of it, but this round it was a plain orange and black car. He would face off against Walker Wilkerson in the Fatlace V8 S13. Walker had a rear end issue last night that got fixed overnight. The fix worked and Walker was able to drive past the V8 Mini Missile of Danny George.
