Industry Insider: MTI Racing

,

Roman is mass producing C7 harness bar assemblies.

Here's another example of Roman Hackett working on several tubes for the harness bar using the Jig that he designed as well. But how has MTI been testing these parts?

MTI bought a C7 and immediately tore it apart in order to design parts for their customers.

With their Corvette C7 shop car, that's how. MTI doesn't just sell parts or machine parts, but they actually buy the chassis and test and tune the parts themselves. Those coilover kits we mentioned earlier? Not only did MTI have to engineer them for use on the C7, but they also had to work with an electronics firm to develop shock simulators. The C7 has a magnetic ride system from the factory that, if removed, sends the car into a limp mode. The shock simulators enable use of aftermarket suspensions and make their coilover kits a truly bolt-on affair. Oh, they also have a shock dyno in house for when they take their cars to the track, and can custom valve applications to suit your needs.

MTI custom designs and manufactures functional carbon fiber body pieces – lips, wings, and more.

Here's another example of the work that MTI does. This front lip spoiler was designed specifically to bolt-on to a C7 and provides functional downforce. How do they know? Because MTI Composites, co-located with Ernie Elliott Inc, tested it in their wind tunnel. And then they tested it at the track. And now you can order one. Did you order one yet? Not sure if MTI can handle your LS- or LT-based project?

MTI can get started on your LS-based project quickly.

Well, in case you decide to order something, MTI has you covered with a large number of LS- and LT- heads in stock. No, we're not talking about the old-school LT “truck” engine. The new Corvette C7 uses an engine designated as “LT” which is really an evolution of the LS. It basically has no common components with the C5/C6/TA/Firebird/Camaro/etc. LS engine or the previous generation LT. MTI also has a complete LT built engine package for new C7 corvettes that will transform a “standard” C7 into a powerhouse like its big-brother the Z06 – for a fraction of the total cost.

Just about every part for an LS- or LT- motor is on the shelf and ready to go.

To go with your head? Here's a veritable cornucopia of LS parts, from cams to valves, springs, and more. MTI has you covered for all your bowtie engine building needs. But, as we've already seen, they can do just about anything.
