Industry Insider: MTI Racing

,

MTI keeps several LS motors from their catalog on-hand and ready to ship.

And, if you're interested in one of their “off-the-shelf” configurations, they happen to keep a few ready to go. With all of this engine work and machining, and their CNC capabilities, you would think it would be handy to have an engine dyno accessible.

They also have an engine dyno in-house – and several others offsite.

And here it is, nestled next to the machine shop area (and you can see the shock dyno in the background). It might not look like there's a lot going on in the engine dyno room, but that’s because there are three more engine dynos at EEI. To say that MTI is capable of both building and testing your engine would be an understatement.

Hold on – MTI can do a lot when it comes to brakes (see what I did there?)

All fast experiences must eventually come to an end, and that requires brakes. They might just have some Corvette brakes lying around. And, if you want to use Corvette brakes on your not Corvette, they can make a custom brake rotor hat for you. Or they can machine you brackets to use whatever caliper and rotor you want. Your choice!

A customer C5 receives a heart transplant and many upgrades.

MTI doesn't just build fast shop cars and sell parts. They also have everything a shop needs to work on your car at their facility outside Atlanta. Here, a C5 is receiving a heart transplant.

They might know a thing or two about Corvettes. It's not like they have that many.

MTI knows Corvettes, and it shows. There are no less than six clearly visible Corvettes in this photo of the area behind the shop. But there's also some Cadillacs, a Supra, a 600+HP Avalanche, and more. Several of the 'Vettes in this photo are championship-winning race cars, all made possible with assistance from MTI.
