From this perspective you get an even better idea of the amount of airflow that can get into the rear cabin of the car, as well as the extraction vents on the rear trunk.BMW drift car rear trunk vents
The customized vents on the decklid provide plenty of opportunity for the heat in the trunk to escape…

And just to be sure there’s enough ventilation and heat extraction, most of the rear-facing portion of the trunk is covered in mesh. Plus, you can see the requisite giant tow strap for the enevitble non-LS3-powered ride to the pits.
BMW LS3 drift car LSM3 money shot
And there it is… The money shot from the drifter's version of 50 Shades of Grey! Front chassis tubing is evident, but it’s the Castro Motorsports 470-Hp/435-ftlb LS3 running E85 that makes this beast move. All that Turbo Joe Tuned power runs through the Texas Speed Racing 4-speed NASCAR dog box transmission and Stage 5 Spec Clutch and aluminum flywheel. It delivers the tire-shredding thunder to the ground through a 2-way limited-slip differential.

Another view of the custom fabrication and 2013 Camaro LS3. The engine has Castro Motorsports modified long-tube headers, FAST big-mouth throttle body, gorgeous upgraded fuel lines, Aeromotive A1000 fuel pump, Holly eliminator standalone and, of course, the aforementioned but unseen custom tuning by Turbo Joe – performed on Castro’s in-house Mustang dyno. A good part of engine health is taken care of by Canton racing products through an Accusump, stainless steel lines, oil filter, thermostat, and oil cooler.
