MotoIQ Pacific Tuner Car Championship presented by Motul, Round 3 & 4, AutoClub Speedway

Justin and crew sorting out tire pressure settings during the morning warm up session.  Being that AutoClub Speedway is a pro level NASCAR track, the hot pit is top notch.
Project G20's turbo torque pushes through the aero drag of the high speed oval with minimal effort. The power band, aero, and long wheelbase of Project G20 made for a fast and stable car through the oval and that ate up the infield straights for breakfast.
Despite having the smallest engine displacement, the worst aero, and the most peaky torque band of the field, Project EF wasn't terrible at high speed in the oval.  Even without aero assistance from a draft, project EF was still able to reach speeds of 135mph on the oval.
With speed on the oval, strong brake zone work, and a fresh set of Hankook C51 DOT slicks which are arguably the fastest tire suitable for MPTCC use under the “same set of tires all weekend” rule, Justin was able to clinch pole for Saturday's race.
Despite it being cloudy, later in the day the weather was decently humid.  Here we have Martin airing out his helmet and suit while Motul USA gets prime sticker placement.
Before the race, I played musical wheels on Project EF to get the most even wear characteristics out of the Maxxis RC-1 tires, also for consistent performance and longevity.  This is the exact reason I went with symmetrical wheel/tire sizes so I have this option to rotate front to back and side to side.  Even though I'm of the opinion a reverse stagger setup is ideal for handling on a FF race car.
