Project G20 ran warmup and qualifying with no issues, which is a relief compared to the first race weekend at Willow Springs where the G20 had turbo wastegate issues causing a huge drop in power output.
The suspension setting changes thanks to the high amounts of adjustability from the Fortune Auto 2-way coilovers and the ASR rear sway bar helped the front grip and rotation of Project EF which narrowed the gap in qualifying time with Justin.
Justin still got pole position, but this time only by just under a second.  Regardless his pace was strong and he was going to be tough to beat.
For Sunday's race, the MPTCC field was actually placed at the front of the entire race group B, so no fighting through the Honda Challenge traffic on the start, but what was going to change things up was catching the Spec E30 field which starts at the end of the race group.
Heading out for the formation lap, I knew my only chance at a possible win was to stay as close as I could to Justin and apply consistent pressure to hopefully force a mistake, and to get to the Spec E30 back traffic to add a passing element making it more difficult for Justin to outrun me.
The green flag dropped and the start was neck and neck for everyone.  I was faster then Justin in the early gears, Justin started to pull away past 110mph, and Steve just took it easy in the draft behind both of us calculating his moves.
