Motovicity Ticket to Ride – Ford Mustang Build Part 1

Unlike the stock piece, the individual runners on the BBK shorty header meet at the collector. The BBK shorty header may not make as much horsepower as their long tube header option, but the shorty headers allow you to retain the factory cats and you won't have the need to modify or buy additional parts to get back on the road. They really are the perfect compromise between performance, ease of installation and price point.
The BBK Black Out Intake (part# 1768) is a complete bolt on affair. It includes an integrated MAF housing and it even has a hook up for the in-cabin noise maker. Thankfully BBK offers a cap to plug it up! The installation was simply and straight forward with an OE like fit and finish. BBK claims the intake alone will give an increase of 16whp without the need of a tune.
To round out our power package from BBK we installed their 85mm Power Plus Throttle Body (part# 1821). It's 5mm larger than the stock throttle body and it will provide increased horsepower and throttle response. The BBK Power Plus Throttle Body is also a completely bolt-on unit, with its integrated fly-by-wire electronics there is no need for additional tuning or to swap over any parts from the stock unit. For those looking for big horsepower, BBK also offers a 90mm version of their Power Plus Throttle Body.
With more braking and accelerating power, it was time to address keeping the driver safely and securely in place at all times. The Mustang is a bigger car and in turn usually has “bigger” drivers, so it was outfitted with the Sparco Chrono Road seat which is performance street seat made for the more husky pilot. Unlike Sparco's race line of seats, the Chrono offers a tilt adjustment while its wide shoulder and thigh bolstering still provide good lateral support during high G cornering.
