After fighting some misfiring issues at Buttonwillow, Patris Essaei's DA Integra was looking strong in qualifying at Spring Mountain.If you'll recall from the first race of the season, after both the Infiniti G20 and Patris' Integra went down Edo was going to have an uncontested win in race #2. Instead, Edo put Patris in the M-Factory DA Integra so he could score championship points. This left Edo and Patris in a tie for first with 20 points each. Since Steve completed more than half the race laps before the G20 blew the head gasket, he scored 17 points for team MotoIQ which put him in third place.
Edik Stepanyan would take the pole for race one followed by Justin Taylor and Patris Essaei. I was at the back of the pack in the #37. As soon as the green flag dropped Patris got a jump on the field…while the #37 struggled to keep up.
Patris would maintain his lead heading into turn 1 and the Tuner Under field was catching up fast to the Honda Challenge camp. 
After one lap of racing we see Patris in the black Signature Lenders DA Integra and Justin Taylor in the Rockstar Garage S2000, but where is Edik Stepanyan and the M-Factory DA Integra? Edik actually got around Patris a few corners before they all completed their first lap and was starting to pull away from the field. The #37 and I are probably somewhere around the back straight….lol.
