On Sunday NASA gave Race Group A the choice of having a rolling or standing start. The standing start won by a land slide. Justin needed a strong start if he had any chance of ending Edik's winning streak, but Edik had P1 and had the inside line going into turn one's right hander. 
Justin got the jump he needed and got in front of Edik as the race began. Justin made the Rockstar Garage S2000 as wide as he could for a couple laps, but ultimately Edik was able to get around him and reclaim first place. 
While Edik and Justin were battling for first, Patris' Signature Lenders DA Integra was staying together and turning laps. Though he was behind the pace that Edik and Justin had set, he had the big picture in mind and kept the car alive all the way to the finish and earned himself third place championship points.
Edik was able to squeeze another second out of the M-Factory DA Integra during Sunday's race, which made it that much harder for Justin to keep up. On Sunday Edik was almost 3 seconds faster than the second place Rockstar Garage S2000 and cruised to his fourth 1st place finish of the season. 
After four races of the MotoIQ Pacific Tuner Car Championship presented by Motul, Edik Stepanyan leads the Tuner Under field with 60 points. Patris Essaei's third place finish ended up being a very important one as his 35 points were enough to keep him in second place. Justin Taylor is within striking distance with 34 points of his own. Since team MotoIQ did not earn any points during the entire weekend, we will fall to fourth place. With another car down, we definitely have our hands full before the next event if we are to try to stay in the championship hunt.
We have a thing for over sized paper weights around here. A couple of SR20s would definitely pull a premium before the next MPTCC race. The G20 is down and the #37 is also without a heart. Will we have enough time to get any of these cars on the track? Stay tuned for the next race recap!
