The 1199 Panigale is a technical tour de force. Modern electronics allow ride-by-wire and all the electrical aids that can be programmed along with it. What makes the Panigale special is the attention to detail, especially the weight savings. Consider this, the Panigale has double the engine size of my 2005 Honda CBR 600RR, bigger tires, all the modern electronics, about 70% more power, and the SAME dry weight (within 1 pound of published rates) as my 600RR. See, I told you all those little weight saving details would add up and pay off.
