Carbon fiber construction with titanium mounting brackets will net you just 85-lb for this entire Alcohol Funny Car body, which is made by Advanced Body Technology.
Check out this heap in the Nitrous Express booth. LOL!
Oh wait—that engine is laughing at me right now (get it?). I promise, this is the engine bay in the same truck.
EDIT: Well, turns out this truck is no laughing matter after all. An episode of “Street Outlaws” aired on Discovery Channel on the 5th of January, 2015, the same day our PRI Part 2 coverage aired. Apparently, this sucker, also known as “Farmtruck” is packing a 632 cubic inch engine (that's 10.4-liters!!!), and it dyno'd 1160bhp on an engine dyno, and 820 WHP before nitrous on a chassis dyno. It also hit 1077 WHP on the bottle. Wow.
Stay tuned for Part 3. There was another Street Outlaw at PRI 2014 that I saw on this show as well.
Arias Pistons were at PRI flexing their muscles. This is a forged aluminum 9.5:1 compression piston for the Subaru BRZ. A set of four is good to handle a reported 800whp.
While you don’t usually see kids at these types of events, these kids had every right to be at the Racer’s Choice Inc (RCI) booth. This truck is part of Team Kid KJ, which is comprised of the youngest Monster truck drivers ever. Kaid Jaret Olson is on the left, and brother Jake Olson Weston’s on the right, but not pictured.
Well, I mean Jake is in the picture…but he’s not really “in” the picture…because that’s just a picture of his picture. Nevermind. Let's check out more suspension, brakes, fuel pumps and engine bays!
