Cartel Chassis built the multipoint cage using DOM tubing.  The cage is inspired from WRC Rally car designs.  The chassis is also seam welded.

The transmission was treated to a TRE Stage 2 Transmission and transfer case Upgrade. TRE builds the transmission for racing applications featuring gear detail work to the lead edge and root diameter of the gear teeth. Additionally the parts are shot peened and oiling passages drilled to improve the service life of the transmission. Hubs, sleeves, shift rails and shift assembly are polished for smooth shifting. Engagement teeth are modified to increase the window of opportunity for high rpm shifting and oil passageways are enlarged to deliver more oil to critical parts.

An AIM MXL Pista dash keeps the driver informed and also datalogs.

In the TRE Upgraded Transfer case, the gearset is detailed and shot peened for increased strength. It is also vibratory finished and WS2 treated to reduce friction. The main housing is CNC machined and upgraded from M8 bolts to larger M10 bolts. The ring and pinion contact pattern is dialed in for high torque applications. The bearing preloads are also properly set for race applications.

An Evo X SAYC Differential replaced the standard AYC differential, which was exploded at an autocross. The geniuses at Professional Awesome figured out how to replace the AYC unit with the SAYC rear end which increases cornering performance over the standard AYC due to a revised planetary system.

The cage ties the whole chassis together and is fully triangulated for stiffness.

An AIM MXL Pista Dash with GPS Option, gauge and race data acquisition system is used.  The AIM dash features a tachometer, 8 analog inputs, 1 speed input, CAN/serial ECU connector, gear position indicator, internal G sensor and lap timer. The dash was purchased used from a road racing friend for $700. Being able to see lap times on the go, know cornering forces, braking distances, and acceleration data instantaneously are a wonderful asset.
