Now that our intercooling was taken care of the next step in our search for more reliable power is to replace the overworked hot air pumping stock Ford turbos with the more efficient Garrett units.
To install the new turbos, first, drain the coolant.
Then loosen the turbo drain, coolant lines, and oil feed lines.
Next, loosen the compressor inlet and compressor discharge pipes.
Next, the ground strap must be unbolted on the chassis side.
The starter must also be removed for clearance.
