We added the heat exchanger's coolant fittings.
We had to deviate from the instructions a little here. Since Brian Kono of Afterhours Automotive built air guides for our radiator, we had to cut holes in them to route our coolant hoses. No problem.
Here is how the hole lined up. Yes, we later added a grommet so the hose would not chafe.
Our hose mocked up. All of the hoses are molded and pre cut for correct length and fit perfectly like OEM.
The surge tank is installed high in the system so it can purge bubbles easily. Getting the bubble out completely really improves the effectiveness of any closed loop cooling system.
The coolant lines are hooked up to the surge tank and the intercooler core.
