Project GD STI- Getting it Slowed Down with Stoptech

The rear setup has a mini drum brake for a parking brake.  This made it a little harder to remove the dust shield.
We had to break out these spot welds and trim a little with tin snips to get the shields out.
This sturdy billet aluminum bracket adapts the radial mount Stoptech caliper to the ear mounting points on the spindle.
The STR caliper dwarfs the stock caliper.  Even though it is bigger, stronger and stiffer the Stoptech caliper is 1 lb lighter than stock!
The braided steel brake lines were installed.
The big front Stoptech pads have about 50% more surface area than stock!
