Now the head gasket and the two inner studs are installed.
ARP assembly lube is applied to the ends of the studs.
The short block is now ready for the heads.
The head washers are dropped into place.
Now the head is lowered onto the short block.
The bottom of the head nuts are brushed with the ARP lube. This is critical for getting the proper torque.

I assume for the AVCS oil feed lines, the factory style screens are not used right? I only thought about that because the style of banjo fittings used have the bump on top, which for Subaru means they put a filter in there.
I’ve always wondered how dirty the inside of the cam covers get over time.

I take it the heads are bench shimmed for valve clearance prior to being fitted ?
No shims, select fit cam followers.
