The door panels now look far more modern with the slate grey Alcantara inserts that now match the headliner in the car. The red accent stitching on the Napa Leather armrest matches the center console armrest.
We had the OEM door trim panels wrapped in carbon fiber to match our new carbon fiber center console and give our interior a modern sporty feel.
We also wrapped the cheap black plastic lower sill and the front cover of the leather sill pad, which currently has the gas cap tab removed for ease of removal and test-fitting.
The center console armrest helps tie the Napa Leather theme and red stitching together inside the car.
The updated ATOTO touch screen navigation head unit is far quicker and more responsive than the old Kenwood unit. It’s now surrounded by a high-quality carbon fiber center console from Euroboutique as well as the carbon fiber center vent surround.

That looks great and really provides subtle updates yet retains much of the look and feel of the original.
Be careful with that headunit though, or the android based ones like that. They usually run older builds of android, on older processors, with no way to *easily* upgrade the OS without rooting it and going down a rabbit hole there… It’s like buying a 5yr old android phone today, and using it, assuming it’ll work like today’s phones. Still a huge improvement from where you’re coming from. 🙂
You can still find some period correct headunits from pioneer or my favorite a Nakamichi CD45Z from that era. excellent quality, and has a line input, which you can adapt a BT adapter to. Sony also makes modern double-DIN headunits with knobs. KNOBS! God I miss knobs on aftermarket headunits.
