Project Pure Performance E46 Time Attack

An example of the stitch welding between the frame rail and the cage tubes.  By tying the unibody to the cage in many places greatly strengthens the structure and helps spread impact load out over the entire structure in a severe impact.
Look at the precise mitering and great welding where many tubes come together in the drivers footwell area.
More nice mitering in the area where the front tubes, tube gussets, cross bar and rear legs meet the main hoop
Some weld and mitering detail at the tops of the A pillars. The gap in the welds is not a mistake, the weld is just not done yet!  The tight mitering means narrow tig welds which results in less heat affected zone on the tubing.
