The next step was to get a baseline of our car stock on the dyno. The stock engine belted out 146 whp and 117 lb/ft of torque which is pretty good for a beat up bone stock FR-S on our super conservative dyno.
The first part of the installation involved the oil filler cap. This meant we had to unscrew the stock cap and screw the Unorthodox part on in its place. The new cap fit perfectly and also happens to fit most Japanese engines.
The pulley is more easy to install from the top of the engine compartment.
Start by pulling off all of the intake, meaning the airbox, air snorkel and airflow meter.
With the airbox and intake parts out, you have good access to the pulley.
Loosen and remove the serpentine belt by loosening the idler pulley and removing the belt.
