Project Trailer-All Done and Using It!

,

To help us get in and out of larger cars without damage, our trailer has a tilt down driver's side fender.

The fender tilts out of the way like so after removing two wing nuts.

There are even little cups to hold the wing nuts while the fenders are folded so they don't get lost.

Our trailer is proving to be both handy and durable.

Let's face it, towing is a necessary drag, one of the worst things about having to own a race car.  Although most people we know will spend every extra dollar to make their race car faster, they often balk at spending extra on towing equipment.

Now that we have a really good trailer, we are amazed how much faster it is to load and with less effort.  You can't belive how much of a difference that can make at the end of a tough day at the races.

A longer and stiffer trailer with good brakes is a lot less fatiguing to drive home, the trailer takes bumps much better and doesn't wag the tow vehicle around, even in side winds.  Solid four wheel brakes really reduce the pucker factor.

Finally knowing your trailer isn't going to break down in the middle of nowhere is less stressful as well.  We know, we have been there and suffered about every towing ordeal there is over the years.

We know that our Shadow trailer is going to faithfully serve us for many years to come.
