Project VA WRX: Finishing the Suspension With Superpro

,

The Superpro tie rods drop the outer tie rod about 20mm and will reduce bumpsteer when used in conjunction with the Superpro ball joints.
Superpro's balljoint lowers the outer pivot of the lower control arm about 20mm and raises the roll center to correct the camber curve.
The Superpro front lower control arm bushing is made out of harder urethane which reduces flex and free play in the front control arm.  It has some flats around the outside of the bushing that allow some engineered flex to reduce binding as the suspension travels through its travel.
Superpro's lower rear control arms bushing drops the pivot point lower to reduce anti dive geometry.  This will reduce understeer when trail braking and improve corner exit traction.  The bushings also move the pivot point outward.  This gives the front suspension about 1.5 degrees more positive caster.   More caster helps improve directional stability and has the outside front wheel gain negative camber when the wheel is turned, improving front grip and reducing understeer.
This is how the stock front lower control arm is located in the car.  Howard has already removed the belly pan.
Next, Howard removes the bolts holding the stock front swaybar and the lower control arms in.
