Project VA WRX: Upgrading the bushings and swaybars with Superpro Part 1

,

Howard Watanabe uses an air chisel to remove the stock bushings from the crossmember.
The old bushings are now removed.
The new bushings are pressed in.  They must be installed in the proper orientation with the slots like this.
The differential mustache bar bushings are next to be replaced.
The mustache bar bushings have an external hex shape to allow for some engineered flex as well. The bushings still have a lot less flex than the stock rubber ones which will reduce wheelhop and stress on the driveline.  With this engineered flex, there should be very little to no increase in NVH.
The bushings are pressed out on the hydraulic press.
