The Borla ATAK downpipe has a slightly larger diameter, no resonators and smoother mandrel bends than the stock part. It is also made of a higher grade more corrosion resistant stainless than the stock system.
The Borla X pipe has a smoother less turbulent flow with less disruptive communication between the cylinder banks. This should reduce resonance and improve low and mid range torque.
The Borla ATAK mufflers flow much better being of a straight through construction. They are a higher grade stainless to support the million mile warranty and are lighter to boot.
Remove the factory ball joint packing and reuse it on the 4 ball joints that both the factory and Borla exhausts have.
