The BMW P84/5 Formula One racing engine was used in the 2005 season.  It is the P84 configuration modified to last for 1,500 kilometers per the new requirements.  It is a 3.0L naturally aspirated V10 with aluminum head and block.

The engine showcase also features the P75 V12 LMR race engine used by the 1999 LeMans winner.

The P54/B20 won the European Championship in 2004 and the World Champion in 2005.  This inline 6 naturally aspirated engine pumped out 280hp at 8,800 RPM and 170 ft lbs of torque.

Some of you Formula 1 geeks will definitely appreciate this.  These engines were capable of producing upwards of 1,100hp for short periods of time!

“Testes, testes, one, two… three?”  Wait, these aren't microphones!
