The BMW P84/5 Formula One racing engine was used in the 2005 season. It is the P84 configuration modified to last for 1,500 kilometers per the new requirements. It is a 3.0L naturally aspirated V10 with aluminum head and block. |
The engine showcase also features the P75 V12 LMR race engine used by the 1999 LeMans winner. |
The P54/B20 won the European Championship in 2004 and the World Champion in 2005. This inline 6 naturally aspirated engine pumped out 280hp at 8,800 RPM and 170 ft lbs of torque. |
