Project SC300 Road Racer: Part 33 – A quick, dry break with Radium Engineering
assembled line with cut rubber hose used as protectors
A little bit more hose provides some protection.

Braided stainless line of this style is like sandpaper. Anything it vibrates against it will eventually cut through or abrade. It’s a good idea to put some rubber hose over the braid anywhere the braid contacts something. And, for completeness, we also put some rubber hose over the AN fittings to prevent them from rattling against the fuel cell’s top and rubbing marks into it.

That’s all there is to it! Radium Engineering makes their dry break fitting in both -6AN and -8AN sizes. You can use them for either fuel or oil applications up to 150PSI. If you have fuel or oil couplings that you frequently connect and disconnect, these things are totally awesome.
