| The BWM Z4 is a stunning looking vehicle packing a 4.4L V8 under the hood. In the battle between Joey Hand and Farnbacher in the Viper, it appears the Z4 has exceptional handling but is lacking in straight-line speed. Perhaps they'll get an adjustment in restrictor size. Keep an eye out for our close-up on this car. |
With the Vipers and Z4s being new to the 12 hours, and the 911s being pretty long in the tooth, I expected the Corvette and Ferraris to take this win easily. But, both the Viper and the Z4 led the class for a while and looked strong.
Who knows how the race would have ended if they had had no mechanical issues. The Porsches proved no mechanical issues and good pit stops will get you on the podium. With the last minute Corvette pass for the lead, I thought we might get to see a battle similar to the Flying Lizards and Risi from 2007, but Milner kept the lead for the win.
