Our Bosch plugs and NGK coils are installed. They popped right on like the factory units without worry.
After pulling off the plugs, make sure to check each one. They should have a gray-like hue, like this here, indicating normal operation.
Fortunately, all six plugs appeared to have normal wear. We were happy to see no insulators broken, or other melted parts or a pepper-like residue, which could otherwise indicate some significant detonation.
Here's an example of what your plugs should NOT to look like. I just took these yesterday when my church's pastor brought his 2008 Mazda 6 over for me to look at because he was noticing excessive oil consumption. I had traced it to a badly leaking cam cover gasket but figured I could also do a quick compression test while we were at it to make sure he wasn't getting excessive blow-by, and this is what I saw when I pulled the plugs. Aye carumba–I don't know how he ever even made it to my house! Needless to say, we replaced those suckers and cam cover gasket, and he was sent on his heavenly way.
Having a good spot for your tools and screws is a good idea so that nothing is lost. Sparkplugs.com sells a lot of NGK-branded accessories, like this magnetic parts tray. Their online store also carries NGK-branded Grizzley coolers, Bluetooth speakers and headphones, and even clothing made by Columbia, Eddie Bauer, and other well-known quality brands.

Awesome writeup, test, results and all. Installing the same setup in a stage 1 Revo Audi B7, tomorrow in fact, so yeah this is an exciting read.
