64 Corvette: 2015 Edition!

There's no heat wrap on the driver's side pipe yet. That will happen before it goes back to the owners – with the skirt in place also. Considering the car is a work in progress, hasn't been detailed, and was just backed out of the shop into the sunlight, it simply looks fantastic.

During the interview with Manny and photo session on the C2, the shop was full of an arrangment of serious cars and the phone was constantly ringing and deliveries and future customers arrived at the front door. New wheels arriving, someone looking for an LS engine for a Camaro, and the shop accountant reviewing numbers and purchases. At the same time, Dave had a Z06 strapped to the dyno where he made a few runs – which caused me to drop what I was doing and head back to the dyno room so that I could see what was making the awesome sound. Meanwhile, the C2 is being given some final touches from Gavin as he prepares it for the handover to the owners.

Nothing like a closer look at the front corner. These fabricated aluminum lower A-arms significanly reduce weight on the front of the car. The Shark Bite suspension components look to be incredibly well-built.
The Lower A-Arms coupled with the Upper A-arms (just visible in the upper right corner of this photo) provides a significant improvement in the front suspension geometry. Dasilva Motorsports set up this C2 for performance street driving. All new suspension coupled with a blasted and powder-coated frame means the underside of this Corvette looks like new.
Beefy sway bars are included for both front and rear of the C2. There's no question that when you're underneath this C2, that you're looking at a 'new' car. The Shark Bite suspension package comes with everything that you need to upgrade your Corvette.

The Shark Bite suspension package was chosen to upgrade the ride and handling characteristics of the 1964 Sting Ray. Front and rear coil over suspension allows for corner balancing. The shocks have adjustable valving and, of course, there is a wide range of spring rates available. This kit bolts into place and has the option of including C6 Z06 six piston calipers to ensure great stopping capability too.

The original rear suspension on the C2 was considered highly advanced at the time it debuted, but the Shark Bite cantilever coilover rear suspension completely replaces all aspects of 1964. The conventional springs and transverse mounted leaf spring are long gone.
