64 Corvette: 2015 Edition!

,

These are just some pics to enjoy. First off, the nose of the Sting Ray.
Just in case you weren't sure what kind of car it actually was, here's a shot of the badge.
The side emblem, with the LS3 engine very visible with the hood open. I was curious about the French emblems and, upon some digging on the Internet, found that the checkered flag was initially to be opposite an American flag. However, according to U.S. federal law the flag may not be used for advertising. Chevrolet, knowing that Chevrolet is a French name, decided upon the French symbol the fleur-de-lis. This is a symbol for peace and purity. You will have to go to the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky, to see the original symbol with the American Flag. I have to say, that the peace may be disrupted when this C2 rumbles down the street. Credit and thanks to Top Speed for their research on the symbols.
Behind the driver's seat is a Diamond 400 watt, 5 channel amp. This is connected to an 8 inch JL Audio sub, Retro Sound head unit and speakers. Fire extinguisher mounted behind the passenger seat.
Here Gavin (left) and Dave (right) are working on some finishing touches before turning the car over to Rob and Gail.
Gavin performing some final adjustments to the interior panels, meanwhile Gail is looking forward to her first drive in the Corvette. Rob was quite clear while chatting with me that this C2 is Gail's car.
