Here sits the chassis dummied up for the installation of the RWB body kit.
You can literally see how huge the tires look in the stock wheel wells! When the car is complete, A trick BBi built 4-liter M64/21 air-cooled engine will reside in the back of the car.
To abide by RWB’s exclusive “rules” to have an aero kit installed by Nakai-San, the aero kit and car must be fully painted with all the bodywork done. We think we would rather fit the kit before painting and bodywork but I guess you have to play by the rules to be allowed to purchase one of these kits.
Here is Nakai-San installing the kit with some of the entourage hanging around. We like the looks and quality of the kit but we are perhaps too old and uncool to understand the hype part of the experience. With the RWB kit installed, the BBi Autosport 993 is a quite striking looking car.
The front of the BBi Autosport 993 C2 looks aggressive and mean. The car combines the elements of a show car with the underpinnings of a modern race car with the end result ending up as a rolling work of art that will be able to account well for itself on the track.
The car is truly a legendary build and we will revisit the car when it is done!
Thank you BBi for letting us see this build in-process! We will be back.
